My First Foray (In years)

Logged in with a new build and much excitement, read the starting signs and Illian seemed a good place to start... Unfortunately, there was no transition to Illian in the Beginning area, no worries... Off to Amador! Alas, no transition there either... Hm, well, long hike from Four Kings... Oh, no way out. Bummer. Good gear in some of these vendors though, shame none of the transitions work. Well, only one way out and that's to attack a guardsman. Alright, dead, and cool, it said all factions reset. That's a surprise.
Now that I went through the left portal, it's back to the beginning. Guess I'll try Caemlyn, but can't find it... And why is there a summoned Dire Tiger? Oh, Jain's gone, he must have cast it... That probably means my factions are bugged. Great. Well, can't find Caemlyn portal, off to the White Tower. Man, this place is huge, oh, look younglings in old tongue... And they're hostile... At least they're rated "moderate" and "easy".
Well, back to the world of dreams. Dead again... Meh, lets try to find this hunting ground. Checked the harbor for a boat, no such luck. Run around Tar Valon forever, finally find bridge to Allaendir after much searching. Found Braem east... And then crash.
Alright, think I'm done for the night.
All in all, not very user friendly, and I know the setting... Suppose there is much unfinished ground to cover, but hey, at least a wheel of time server is there! Would have been fun to grind a bit, but man are those killing areas insanely hard to find. This place is nothing like what I remember of Mirrors of the Pattern or The Third Age.
