Ultimately, the point of these guidelines is to give players goals to achieve, in conjunction with normal RP. Classes do not solely determine if someone can be promoted or not; first and foremost, activity and common sense do. For example, a trouble-maker is not likely to achieve higher-tiered ranks quickly if they persist in their behavior. Be mindful of the consequences of your character’s actions.

* This rank is more formality than anything. Most men move from recruit to soldier fairly quickly, provided they show a measure of discipline, loyalty and ability to follow orders. Generally promotion occurs once they demonstrate that they have control of seizing.
